Delchevo, 19 October 2021 (MIA) — To mark World Food Day and help disadvantaged children, Delchevo's “St. Clement of Ohrid” Elementary held a food drive initiated by the school's eighth graders. According to MIA's Delchevo correspondent, students, parents, and the school staff donated canned food and other non-perishable goods to be distributed to socially disadvantaged students from their school as well as other local schools. “We’d like to give our immense thanks to the students, parents and employees who donated and showed we’re kind and socially responsible citizens,” the school said. The students plan to hold more food drives to help disadvantaged families. They also hope to inspire socially responsible companies to take part, they said. dk/mr/
