Skopje, 21 February 2022 (MIA) – Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska met Monday with Ukrainian Ambassador Natalia Zadorozhnyuk and highlighted North Macedonia’s unequivocal support to Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. Minister Petrovska said that as NATO member-state, North Macedonia supports the Alliance’s open-door policy and the right of every country to decide on its own future, the Ministry of Defense said in a press release. Ambassador Zadorozhnyuk expressed gratitude over North Macedonia’s unambiguous support to Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as NATO’s open-door policy. Petrovska also reaffirmed that diplomacy is the best solution to the Ukraine crisis, along with the support to NATO’s efforts in using all political tools to defuse tensions and deescalate the situation, reads the press release.
