Skopje, 16 August 2024 (MIA) - Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski met Friday with the Vermont National Guard Adjutant General, Major General Gregory Knight, in Skopje.

During the meeting, according to the Defense Ministry, Misajlovski and Knight discussed the partnership and cooperation between the Macedonian Army and the Vermont National Guard which has been fostered for more than 30 years and its intensification in the future. 

“The trainings, joint exercises, exchange of cadets between the two academies is indicative of the excellent cooperation which is significant for further development of the members of the Army and the Vermong National Guard, who in addition to exchanging experiences also acquire new knowledge and build strong bonds,” the Ministry of Defense said in a press release.

As part of General Knight’s visit, the Minister and General visited the Cyber Operation Center and the Cyber Training Platform within the Army whose goal is to ensure appropriate cyber defense.
