Defence Minister Petrovska at Warsaw Security Forum

Skopje, 3 October 2023 (MIA) – Defence Minister Slavjanka Petrovska is taking part October 3-4 in the Warsaw Security Forum (WSF) 2023.

Petrovska is to address on Tuesday a high level discussion on the topic “Europe at War: Beefing Up of NATO’s Collective Defence” which will include remarks by Adm. Rob Bauer, Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Marjan Šarec, Slovenian Minister of Defence, Todor Tagarev, Bulgarian Defence Minister, moderated by retired Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, Commander of United States Army Europe (2014-2018), the Ministry of Defence said in a press release.

Minister Petrovska is to deliver remarks at the working session titled “Women in International Security” alongside women leaders including Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, Kajsa Ollongren, Minister of Defence of the Netherlands and Anne-Marie Trevelyan, the UK Minister for the Indo-Pacific.

In Warsaw, she will also meet with a several NATO defence ministers including the host, Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.

The Warsaw Security Forum is one of the leading European security conferences devoted to transatlantic cooperation and focused on elaborating shared responses to common challenges, with an emphasis on the security of Central and Eastern Europe.

Organized since 2014, the Warsaw Security Forum gathers annually over 1500 highest representatives of governments, international organizations, industry, think tanks and civil society coming from over 90 countries.

Since its inception, the Warsaw Security Forum is organized by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, in strategic partnership with NATO and the National Security Bureau to the President of the Republic of Poland.
