Defence Minister Misajlovski visits Operations Command

Skopje, 26 June 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Defence Vlado Misajlovski alongside Chief of the Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, visited on Wednesday the Operations Command (OC) at Kumanovo's Boro Menkov army barracks, where he met with the Commander, Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, as well as officers in the command.
Minister Misajlovski was briefed on the mission and tasks performed by the OC, the main driver of the Army, which includes the largest number of army units that jointly contribute to the protection of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state and in operations to support peace and security led by NATO, the United Nations and the European Union, the Ministry of Defence said in a press release.
Misajlovski thanked all members of the OC for everything they have done so far, adding that he will fully support all the activities and needs of the OC and the units in its composition.
"You have in me an ally you can rely on," Minister Misajlovski said.
Misajlovski was briefed on the future steps of the OC, equipping and modernization, training and exercises, and the acceptance and implementation of NATO standards.
