Skopje, 30 July 2024 (MIA) - Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski met Tuesday with Serbian Ambassador Nevena Jovanović, expressing gratitude for the development of the bilateral defense cooperation.

"Interlocutors highlighted the joint participation in regional initiatives- the South East Defense Ministerial (SEDM), Balkan Medical Task Force, B-9 initiative of Chiefs of Staff, and Center for Security Cooperation (RACVIAC), which are in the countries’ joint interest aimed at maintaining and strengthening regional stability and security, which is of great importance," the Ministry of Defense said in a press release.

Misajlovski and Jovanović also discussed expanding cooperation, which is currently focused on education, trainings, and vocational training, exchange of experiences in the field of civil-military cooperation.

Minister Misajlovski expressed gratitude for Serbia's selfless support in sending firefighting teams and aircraft for dealing with the wildfires, but also for the help that the country has provided in recent years.ssh/ad/
