Decision made on composition of inquiry committee into Oncology Clinic case

Skopje, 29 September 2023 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE MP Rashela Mizrahi is to chair the inquiry committee that will be looking into the Oncology Clinic scandal, according to Friday's decision made by the Parliamentary Committee on Election and Appointment Issues on the inquiry committee's composition.

  

According to the decision, members of the inquiry committee include Antonijo Miloshoski, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Ivanka Vasilevska, Ljupcho Prendzhov and Petar Risteski from the parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE and coalition, Daniela Markoska, Nenad Kocikj, Martin Kostovski and Marija Georgievska from the parliamentary group of SDSM and coalition, DUI's Arben Ziberi and Bedri Fazli, and Remzi Mehmedi from the Alliance for Albanians. 

 

In addition, Aleksandar Veljanovski (VMRO-DPMNE) has been selected as vice-char of the inquiry committee, whereas deputy members include Dajancho Eftimov, Dafina Stojanoska, Dragan Kovachki, Toni Jarevski, Zoran Kocevski (VMRO-DPMNE), Mile Talevski, Maja Morachanin, Beti Rabadzhievska Naumovska and Sonja Mirakovska (SDSM and coalition), Bajram Kadrija and Berat Ajdari (DUI), and Artina Qazimi (Alliance for Albanians).  

 

The decision on the composition of the inquiry committee is also required to be passed at a plenary session. 

 

The decision to set up an inquiry committee to look into the Oncology Clinic case was adopted on September 20, after the Public Prosecutor's Office launched a pre-trial investigation following media allegations that Oncology Clinic staff were withholding life-saving medical care from cancer patients and reselling cancer drugs.
