Skopje, 25 July 2023 (MIA) – Customs officials at the Skopje International Airport confiscated ancient coins valued at MKD 2.36 million from a passanger travelling to the USA.

“On July 22, the customs officials while checking the luggage of the Macedonian national, ancient coins worth MKD 2.36 million from different periods were recovered from his baggage,” the Customs Administration said in a press release.

According to the Customs Administration, the coins were seized, and a criminal procedure was initiated against the person in the competent public prosecutor's office.
