Skopje, 11 February 2024 (MIA) — Customs agents at the Tabanovce border crossing with Serbia have thwarted an animal trafficking attempt, seizing 47 undeclared parrots a Serbian citizen tried to smuggle into the country.

According to the Customs Administration in a press release, the caged birds were found in the trunk of the person's car.

A report was filed against the person and the birds were given to the Agency for Management of Confiscated Property to take care of. mr/
