Skopje, 23 January 2024 (MIA) — Customs agents at the Medzhitlija border crossing with Greece have foiled an attempt to smuggle 45 women's purses, four suitcases, and one backpack into North Macedonia, the Customs Administration said in a press release.

The undeclared goods were found in a passenger motor vehicle, the release says.

The customs officers searched the car and found the bags stashed between the car seats and in the trunk of the car.

The contraband goods have been temporarily seized and charges have been filed against the driver. mr/
