Skopje, 10 February 2024 (MIA) — Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska visited Saturday the Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje, which had put on display Italian artist Gianfranco Baruchello's painting "Virtue in Necessity" from 1963 to mark the museum's 60th anniversary.

Kostadinovska Stojchevska said the MoCA's collection was founded on gifts from artists from all over the world "as a sign of solidarity for post-earthquake Skopje."

"MoCA is a kind of victory of art in the second half of the 20th century as well as a synonym for free artistic thought," the culture minister said, extending her best wishes to the institution.

"I wish you many more years of successful work, and I would like to ask this museum's enthusiasts and professionals to continue leading with their pure and progressive ideas," Kostadinovska Stojchevska said. mr/
