Skopje, 15 November 2021 (MIA) – Five children and 21 employees in daycare centers nationwide were infected with the coronavirus last week, according to Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jagoda Shahpaska, who said daycares "remain a safe place for children aged 0-6." Shahpaska said daycare staff had shown a high degree of awareness and responsibility, pointing out that 80 percent of preschool teachers and 78 percent of carers were vaccinated. “I urge all citizens to get vaccinated, wear masks and keep distance. It’s up to us to emerge victorious from this pandemic,” she said in a Slobodna TV appearance Monday. Over 21,000 children in North Macedonia are in daycare, according to the press release from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. dk/mr/
