Skopje, 18 February 2022 (MIA) – The Ministry of Health said Friday that COVID-19 screening began in elementary schools. The first phase in receiving and processing parent consent forms has been completed. According to the Health Ministry, there’s been growing interest in the screening and so far around 5,000 parent consent forms have been received. “Based on the consent forms received, a plan and schedule to perform the screening on the ground has been prepared, and the screening already began in several elementary schools in Skopje. It will continue on Monday. The first phase includes schools on the territory of Skopje, as well as medical staff of the Public Health Center and the Skopje Health Center,” said the Health Ministry. All activities to conduct the screening are carried out in constant coordination with the Ministry of Education and Science.
