COVID-19: 884 new cases, one fatality in past 24 hours
Skopje, 28 July 2022 (MIA) - North Macedonia on Thursday registered 884 new COVID-19 infections after a total of 1,866 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. According to Public Health Institute data, a 77-year-old person died in a Skopje hospital in the same time period.
The data also show that there were 745 recoveries in the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said.
Of the total number of confirmed cases, 190 are reinfections. Skopje recorded 359 new cases.
According to the e-registry of COVID-19 fatalities, four people died from Strumica, Shtip, Kochani and Gostivar. Their deaths were reported from June 29 until July 25, said the press release.
At the moment, 5,026 cases are active nationwide.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,114,405 tests, recording 326,154 COVID-19 cases and 311,760 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,368.
