COVID-19: 805 new cases, 77 patients recover, 10 die
Skopje, 15 August 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 792 new cases out of 9,270 COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours. Of these, 240 new cases were registered in Skopje, followed by Gostivar – 138, Tetovo –136, Kumanovo – 53, Strumica – 50, Kichevo – 46, Ohrid – 32, Debar – 18, Struga – 15, Bitola – 15, Veles – 13, Kavadarci – 9, Prilep – 7, Sveti Nikole – 7, Shtip – 6, Kochani – 4, Resen – 4, Radovish – 4, Berovo – 2, Vinica – 2, Valandovo – 1, Demir Hisar – 1, Kratovo – 1, Makedonski Brod – 1. Seventy-seven coronavirus patients recovered, and ten patients – four from Tetovo (53, 72, 72 and 73), two from Kichevo (28 and 53), one from Gostivar (44), one from Skopje (56), one from Debar (86) and one from Kumanovo (60) – died in the same period, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 162,164 confirmed coronavirus cases and 150,851 people have recovered. The death toll has reached 5,552. At the moment, there are 5,761 active cases nationwide, including 1,894 in the capital Skopje. A total of 1,062,292 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country so far.
