COVID-19: 739 new cases, one death
Skopje, 5 August 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 739 new COVID-19 cases after 1,570 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, one death was reported, while 659 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Friday.  Of the new cases, 262 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 55, Kumanovo – 40, Kavadarci – 37, Ohrid – 35, Prilep – 28, Tetovo – 28, Veles – 28, Gostivar – 24, Shtip – 24, Strumica – 19, Struga – 19, Radovish – 19, Negotino – 14, Kichevo – 13, Kochani – 13, Sveti Nikole – 13, Resen – 12, Kriva Palanka – 10, Gevgelija – 8, Delchevo – 5, Bogdanci – 5, Kratovo – 5, Berovo – 4, Vinica – 4, Krushevo – 4, Demir Hisar – 4, Demir Kapija – 3, Debar – 2, and Dojran - 2.  One patient from Skopje (aged 73) has died in hospital.   At the moment, 4,218 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,125,150 tests, recording 330,755 COVID-19 cases and 317,149 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,388.
