COVID-19: 72 new cases, 35 recoveries

Skopje, 17 June 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 72 new COVID-19 cases after 772 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, no deaths were reported, while 35 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Friday.
Of the new cases, 40 were registered in Skopje, followed by Ohrid – 7, Tetovo – 6, Kumanovo – 4, Kavadarci – 3, Strumica – 3, Kichevo – 3, Bitola – 2, Prilep – 1, Veles – 1, Gostivar – 1, and Kochani – 1.
According to the e-registry of Covid-related fatalities, two persons died, both from Skopje, in the period June 5-9.
At the moment, 394 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,070,199 tests, recording 312,879 COVID-19 cases and 303,163 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,322.
