COVID-19: 672 new cases, 35 patients recover, 5 die
Skopje, 13 August 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 672 new cases out of 6,770 COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours. Of these, 230 new cases were registered in Skopje, followed by Tetovo – 115, Gostivar – 101, Kumanovo – 43, Kichevo – 37, Strumica – 36, Ohrid – 20, Struga – 12, Bitola – 9, Debar – 9, Shtip – 8, Kavadarci – 7, Kochani – 7, Veles – 6, Resen – 6, Prilep – 5, Makedonski Brod – 4, Radovish – 3, Vinica – 3, Valandovo – 3, Berovo – 2, Pehchevo – 2, Sveti Nikole – 1, Kriva Palanka – 1, Delchevo – 1. Thirty-five coronavirus patients recovered, and five patients – two from Tetovo (48 and 66), two from Gostivar (59 and 85) and one from Vinica (62) – died in the same period, the Ministry of Health said on Friday. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 160,571 confirmed coronavirus cases and 150,670 people have recovered. The death toll has reached 5,532. At the moment, there are 4,369 active cases nationwide, including 1,468 in the capital Skopje. A total of 1,046,042 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country so far.
