COVID-19: 577 new cases, 1,010 patients recover, 30 die
Skopje, 10 September 2021 (MIA) – Over the past 24 hours, North Macedonia registered 577 new COVID-19 cases from 5,362 tests done in the country, 1,010 patients recovered and 30 people died from coronavirus-related complications, health authorities said Friday.
According to the Ministry of Health citing Public Health Institute data, of the 577 new COVID-19 cases, 265 were diagnosed in Skopje.
New cases were also recorded in Kumanovo – 54, Tetovo – 26, Prilep – 21, Strumica – 20, Kichevo – 17, Gostivar and Veles – 16 each, Kochani – 15, Shtip – 14, Bitola – 13, Berovo – 12, Kavadarci – 11, Sveti Nikole – 9, Ohrid – 8, Struga, Resen and Probishtip – 7 each, Radovish and Valandovo – 6 each, Delchevo, Vinica and Kratovo – 5 each, Pehchevo – 3, Debar and Demir Kapija – 2 each, Gevgelija, Negotino, Kriva Palanka, Makedonski Brod and Makedonska Kamenica – 1 each.
Of the 30 people who died from coronavirus-related complications, 7 died in Skopje (aged 53, 65, 72, 78, 82, 83 and 85), 5 each in Gostivar (aged 23, 37, 66, 70 and 71) and Strumica (aged 55, 67, 72, 76 and 79), 3 each in Tetovo (aged 60, 71 and 90) and Kumanovo (aged 34, 53 and 57), and one person each in Bitola (aged 80), Radovish (aged 64), Veles (aged 55), Ohrid (aged71), Struga (aged 41), Kriva Palanka (aged 85) and Berovo (aged 88).
In the past 24 hours, 1,010 people recovered from the virus.
At the moment, 13,166 cases are active nationwide, of which 5,731 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,211,959 tests, recording 182,450 COVID-19 cases and 163,070 recoveries. The death toll has reached 6,214.
