COVID-19: 524 new cases, 565 patients recover, 9 die
Skopje, 16 November 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 524 new COVID-19 infections after 3,126 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, nine deaths and 565 recoveries were registered, the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.
Of the new cases, 215 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 44, Kavadarci – 27, Kumanovo and Kriva Palanka – 24 each, Prilep, Veles and Kochani – 21 each, Berovo – 15, Delchevo – 14, Tetovo – 13, Gevgelija – 10, Negotino – 9, Kratovo – 8, Shtip and Demir Hisar – 6 each, Ohrid, Radovish, Vinica and Valandovo – 5 each, Kichevo, Resen and Bogdanci – 4 each, Gostiva and Struga – 3 each, Strumica and Pehchevo – 2 each, Sveti Nikole, Demir Kapija, Makedonska Kamenica and Dojran – 1 each.
Of the nine fatalities, three were registered in Kriva Palanka (aged 67, 73 and 81), two in Skopje (71 and 77) and one each in Bitola (75), Kochani (78), Probishtip (66) and Tetovo (67). Eight more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated Oct. 24-Nov. 13.
At the moment, 8,271 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,433,550 tests, recording 209,971 COVID-19 cases and 194,346 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,354.
