COVID-19: 493 new cases, 532 patients recover, 17 die
Skopje, 18 November 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 493 new COVID-19 infections after 2,911 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, 17 deaths and 532 recoveries were registered, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday. Of the new cases, 200 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 53, Kumanovo – 23, Veles – 23, Prilep – 23, Kavadarci – 20, Kochani – 19, Shtip – 17, Tetovo – 13, Delchevo – 12, Gevgelija – 10, Negotino – 10, Demir Hisar – 8, Strumica – 7, Berovo – 6, Bogdanci – 6, Gostivar – 5, Ohrid – 5, Kriva Palanka – 5, Radovish – 4, Resen – 4, Probishtip – 3, Valandovo – 3, Kratovo – 3, Kichevo – 2, Struga – 2, Vinica – 2, Makedonska Kamenica – 2, Sveti Nikole – 1, Makedonski Brod – 1, Pehchevo – 1. Of the 17 fatalities, four were registered in Kumanovo (aged 62, 64, 78 and 93), three in Prilep (73, 76 and 79), two in Skopje (72 and 91), two in Veles (76 and 80), two in Kavadarci (57 and 71), one in Bitola (78), one in Delchevo (41), one in Kriva Palanka (79) and one in Resen (71). Six more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated October 28-November 5. At the moment, 8,391 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,439,606 tests, recording 210,938 COVID-19 cases and 195,157 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,390.
