COVID-19: 490 new cases and 11 deaths
Skopje, 21 October 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia on Thursday registered 490 new COVID-19 infections, including 223 in Skopje, after 3,073 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, 11 deaths and 201 recoveries were registered, the Health Ministry said.
Of the 11 fatalities, Skopje registered four, aged from 66 to 83, Kumanovo three, Prilep two and Strumica and Radovish one each. All patients died in hospital, said the press release.
At the moment, 5,974 cases are active nationwide, of which 3,008 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,354,533 tests, recording 198,646 COVID-19 cases and 185,660 recoveries.
The death toll has reached 7,012.
