COVID-19: 465 new infections and 20 deaths
Skopje, 14 February 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia on Monday registered 465 new COVID-19 infections, 20 deaths and 1,880 recoveries, said the Health Ministry citing Public Health Institution data. A total of 1,707 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours in labs across the country. Of the new cases, Skopje reported 341. Also, health authorities registered 92 reinfections in the same time period. In the past 24 hours, 20 people died of Covid-related complications, including six in Skopje, aged 70-95. Another fatality, a 72-year old man from Resen, was registered in the e-registry of COVID-19 deaths. All fatalities had underlying conditions, said the press release. At the moment, 9,699 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,847,971 tests, recording 287,481 COVID-19 cases and 269,014 recoveries. The death toll has reached 8,768.
