COVID-19: 373 new cases, 320 patients recover, 12 die
Skopje, 30 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 373 new COVID-19 infections after 5,489 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, 12 deaths and 320 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday. Of the new cases, 196 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 36, Ohrid – 20 Kavadarci – 18, Prilep – 17, Strumica – 11, Gevgelija - 11, Veles – 9, Kriva Palanka – 7, Kumanovo – 6, Shtip – 6, Kichevo – 4, Negotino – 4, Resen – 4, Valandovo – 4, Makedonski Brod – 4, Tetovo – 3, Kochani – 3, Delchevo – 3, Radovish – 2, Struga – 1, Bogdanci – 1, Demir Hisar – 1, Demir Kapija – 1, Dojran – 1. Twelve deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including eight in Skopje (aged 54, 66, 68, 71, 79 ,87, 87 and 87), two in Bitola (67 and 72) and one each in Kichevo (75) and Shtip (74) . All patients died in hospital. Six more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated December 3-21. At the moment, 5,006 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,591,522 tests, recording 224,507 COVID-19 cases and 211,548 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,953.
