COVID-19: 333 new cases and 6 deaths in past 24 hours
Skopje, 24 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia in the past 24 hours registered 333 COVID-19 infections as well as six deaths. According to Public Health Institute data, 311 recoveries were registered in the same period, the Health Ministry said Friday. Of the new cases, Skopje registered 181. Six deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, aged 64, 83, 74, 90, 85 and 79. “According to the register of Covid-related deaths, five fatalities were reported in the period from November 22 until December 20, including a child, 1,” said the Health Ministry. At the moment, 5,185 cases are active nationwide, including 2,583 in the capital Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,565,599 tests, recording 222,666 COVID-19 cases and 209,602 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,879.
