COVID-19: 326 new cases, 242 patients recover, 8 die
Skopje, 15 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 326 new COVID-19 infections after 2,562 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, eight deaths and 242 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday. Of the new cases, 145 were registered in Skopje, followed by Prilep – 22, Bitola – 21, Kavadarci – 15, Ohrid – 15, Strumica – 14, Shtip – 12, Kumanovo – 11, Valandovo – 9, Radovish – 7, Veles – 6, Kochani – 6, Kriva Palanka – 6, Kichevo – 5, Gevgelija – 5, Negotino - 5, Tetovo – 4, Resen – 4, Sveti Nikole – 3, Berovo – 2, Probishtip – 2 and Bogdanci – 2, Struga – 1, Delchevo – 1, Vinica – 1, Demir Hisar – 1, Makedonski Brod – 1. Eight deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including three in Skopje (aged 77, 83 and 100), two in Prilep (68 and 69) and one each in Veles (71), Vinica (57) and Kratovo (53). Six more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated November 25-December 11. At the moment, 5,498 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,509,665 tests, recording 220,169 COVID-19 cases and 220,169 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,768.
