COVID-19: 240 new cases, one fatality in past 24 hours
Skopje, 30 August 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 240 new COVID-19 cases, including 58 reinfections, after 1,084 tests were performed in the past 24 hours. Also, one death and 446 recoveries were reported, the Health Ministry said Tuesday.
Of the new cases, Skopje registered 119, where 776 cases are active. At the moment, 1,714 cases are active nationwide.
A 80-year-old person died in a Skopje hospital in the past 24 hours. According to the e-registry of COVID-19 fatalities, three people died, in Prilep, Demir Hisar and Demir Kapija, between August 16-24.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,150,194 tests, recording 340,119 COVID-19 cases and 328,924 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,481.
