COVID-19: 169 new cases, 242 recoveries
Skopje, 1 September 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 169 new COVID-19 cases after 746 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, while 242 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
Of the new cases, 93 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 12, Kumanovo – 7, Prilep – 6, Veles – 6, Ohrid – 6, Kochani – 6, Gostivar – 4, Strumica – 4, Berovo – 4, Kavadarci – 3, Shtip – 3, Struga – 3, Negotino – 3, Delchevo – 2, Tetovo – 2, Gevgelija – 1, Kriva Palanka – 1, Vinica – 1, Bogdanci – 1, and Demir Kapija – 1.
According to the e-registry of COVID-19 fatalities, one person died, from Struga, aged 64, on August 28.
At the moment, 1,586 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,151,894 tests, recording 340,510 COVID-19 cases and 329,434 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,490.
