COVID-19: 143 new cases, 32 patients recover, 2 die
Skopje, 9 August 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 143 new cases out of 3,101 COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours. Of these, 79 new cases were registered in Skopje, followed by Gostivar – 16, Kichevo – 12, Debar – 8, Kumanovo – 7, Tetovo – 6, Struga – 6, Radovish – 3, Strumica – 2, Kavadarci – 1, Kriva Palanka – 1, Berovo – 1, and Makedonski Brod – 1. Thirty-two coronavirus patients recovered, and two patients from Tetovo (31 and 70) died in the same period, the Ministry of Health said on Monday. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 158,164 confirmed coronavirus cases and 150,556 people have recovered. The death toll has reached 5,509. At the moment, there are 2,099 active cases nationwide, including 669 in the capital Skopje. A total of 1,022,293 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country so far.
