COVID-19: 112 new cases and 12 deaths
Skopje, 27 September 2021 (MIA) - North Macedonia registered Monday 112 new COVID-19 infections after 1,726 tests were carried out in the past 24 hours. Citing Public Health Institution’s report, the Health Ministry said there were 12 fatalities in the same time period and 419 people who have recovered from the virus. Of the new cases, Skopje reported 82, said the press release. Twelve people died in the past 24 hours, including seven patients in Skopje aged 78-66. Kumanovo, Strumica, Shtip, Debar and Veles reported one death each, said the Health Ministry, adding they all died in hospital. “Additionally, according to the registry of fatalities diagnosed with COVID-19 from the My Appointment e-service, one death was reported. The person, aged 77, died at home in Kriva Palanka on Sept. 25,” said the press release. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 189,999 confirmed cases and 171,375 people who have recovered. Death toll reached 6,607. At the moment, there are 12,017 active cases nationwide, including 5,629 in Skopje.
