COVID-19: 101 new cases, 393 patients recover, 13 die
Skopje, 6 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 101 new COVID-19 infections after 1,299 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, 13 deaths and 393 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Monday.
Of the new cases, 59 were registered in Skopje, followed by Kavadarci – 10, Bitola – 8, Prilep – 7, Shtip – 3, Tetovo – 2, Gostivar – 2, Veles – 2, Kochani – 2, Negotino 2, Kichevo – 1, Resen – 1, Valandovo – 1 and Makedonski Brod – 1.
Thirteen deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including six in Skopje (aged 39, 71, 74, 77, 80, and 81), two in Kumanovo (75 and 80), one in Berovo (77), one in Bitola (69), one in Veles (71), one in Makedonska Kamenica (35), one in Resen (76).
Four more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated Nov. 21 – Dec. 4, 2021.
At the moment, 5,775 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,485,944 tests, recording 217,400 COVID-19 cases and 203,967 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,658.
