Skopje, 21 August 2024 (MIA) - The Skopje-based Criminal Court said Wednesday the suspect for yesterday's murder at a parking lot near Mavrovka mall has been given 30-day detention.

The 39-year-old Skopje resident is suspected of murder and attempted murder, as well as unauthorized firearms possession and trafficking.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Interior said the Skopje police sector has concluded its investigation regarding yesterday's shooting, in which a 58-year-old man was killed.

The MoI says the perpetrator has been apprehended by the special police forces. The police also carried out searches at several locations, seized a gun and bullet cases that forensics experts found to link the perpetrator with the crime.

The MoI arrested another person that was later released due to lack of evidence, while a third individual who is suspected of assisting the perpetrator is still on the run.
