Skopje, 30 June 2023 (MIA) – The Criminal Court in Skopje ordered a 30-day custody for two individuals under suspicion of abuse of office and money laundering in the case “Phoenix”, related to the procurement of a part of the monuments from the “Skopje 2014” project.

The Criminal Court in Skopje told MIA that Z.V. and LJ.B. are to remain in custody for 30-days, while T.D. will be under house arrest.

Several former officials are a part of the investigation led against 15 individuals, launched Friday by the Public Prosecutor’s Office on Friday under the code name “Phoenix”. The suspects include Macedonian, as well as, Italian citizens.
