Skopje, 15 March 2024 (MIA) – DTaP vaccines intended for adults have arrived in the country and all interested citizens can receive a booster shot as early as today, said Health Minister Ilir Demiri on Friday, in answer to media questions at an event in Skopje marking Red Cross foundation day and Blood Donor Day.

“The vaccines have arrived, and they can immediately be administered to people who need a booster shot,” said Demiri.

He said he would sign the decision of the Commission for Infectious Diseases regarding the vaccination on Friday, but noted that it is valid without his signature.

“I will sign it as soon as I return, after this event, the decision of the Commission is valid even without my signature, because the Commission is composed of experts who make fair decisions in the interest of the citizens and in the interest of saving lives,” said the Health Minister.
