Skopje, 12 December 2025 (MIA) - The Council of Public Prosecutors has appointed Natasha Krstevska Caleva as acting head of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office Skopje until a new head is elected.

Earlier this week, the Council approved the resignation of Mustafa Hajrullahi at his own request.

Hajrullahi was suspended after the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Shtip filed an indictment for five counts of mistreatment in performing a duty as well as misuse of official position and authorization based on allegations that between September 2023 and October 2024 he used his hierarch superiority to threaten against five female employees as well as to insult them and forbid them from communicating with each other or with other employees and attempting to force them to sign statements claiming they had been manipulated.
