Skopje, 18 May 2023 (MIA) – The goal of using the EU flag on the bills related to the corridors' construction is a faster and more efficient design and construction, because Corridor VIII has already been placed on the map of Trans-European corridors and because there are unfounded blockades of the construction by Levica, supported by VMRO-DPMNE, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Thursday when asked if they have responded to the EU letter over the inappropriate use of the EU flag.

The PM said the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European affairs, Bojan Marichikj, and the Secretariat for European Affairs are in constant communication with the EU.

According to Kovachevski, VMRO-DPMNE and Levica are blocking legislation related to reforms in the country and the country’s EU path.

“The citizens don’t need blockades, they need motorways, corridors and reforms,” said PM Kovachevski.
