Constitutional Court President Kostadinovski holds working meeting with Italian Ambassador Silvestri

Skopje, 17 June 2024 (MIA) - Constitutional Court president Darko Kostadinovski and judge Ana Pavlovska-Daneva held Monday a working meeting with Italian Ambassador Andrea Silvestri, looking at possibilities for bilateral cooperation between the constitutional courts of the two countries.
Kostadinovski briefed Silvestri on the priorities during his term of office, the Constitutional Court said in a press release.
Ambassador Silvestri, reads the press release, expressed interest in issues related to ensuring the independence, as well as the transparency and openness of the Constitutional Court.
"Participants in the meeting exchanged views on topics related to reforming the judicial system. Judges Ana Pavlovska-Daneva and Kostadinovski expressed hope that the reform process in the sphere of the judiciary will take place in accordance with the Constitution and within the framework of the constitutional principles," the press release adds.
Ambassador Silvestri voiced support for the announced priorities, noting that he will make a personal commitment to promote bilateral relations in the field of constitutional justice and improvement of overall cooperation.
