Skopje, 17 November 2024 (MIA) - Constitutional Court President Darko Kostadinovski has congratulated the 33rd anniversary from the adoption of the country's Constitution.

"The Constitution's adoption in 1991 redesigned the domestic system and its institutions. This Constitution reflected the aspiration of the then-generation for a free, sovereign and independent Republic. It brought the citizens' hope for a better life, a democratic state ruled by law," says Kostadinovski.

Let this day, he adds, serve as a reminder about the task for our generation of not failing on this hope, and to contribute to building a state governed by the rule of law and maintain the system of values embedded in the Constitution.

"We all have the duty to apply and, most importantly, be loyal to the Constitution. The power of the Constitution comes from the commitment of every citizen to stand behind and defend it," says Kostadinovski.
