Skopje, 4 October 2022 (MIA) – At the initiative of Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Naser Nuredini, the Government adopted Wednesday a report regarding the status of the concession agreements of small hydro power plants located in the strict protection and active management zones within Shar Mountain National Park. Six small hydro plants located in the strict protection and active management zones within the Shar Mountain National Park will not be constructed, the Ministry said in a press release. The ministry has also submitted a proposal for termination of the concession agreement for another hydro plant located in the National Park’s sustainable use zone, after an agreement has been reached with the concessionaire over a refund of the concession fee.
