Skopje, 23 August 2022 (MIA) – Colonel Vasko Kokolanski accepted his new duty – commander of the Macedonian Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TDC), at Tuesday's ceremony in Veles. Kokolanski previously served as deputy commander of the Army’s First Infantry Brigade.
At the ceremony, attended by Defence Minister Slavjanka Petrovska and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Azim Nuredin, Colonel Kokolanski said the Training and Doctrine Command, as an important and inseparable unit of the Army, is a leader when it comes to the Army’s transformation and adaptation to modern needs.
“In the execution of its mission, the Training and Doctrine Command focuses on the most important part of the Army, which is the soldier, the corporal, the civilian officer, in short, the human factor in the army which is key to the realization of the visions and the strategic goals of our political and military leaders as well as the new NATO Concept. Therefore, I can freely say that the Training and Doctrine Command has an extremely important place and role in the modern security environment,” said the new TDC commander.
The Training and Doctrine Command organizes, coordinates and carries out the individual training of all soldiers, cadets, corporals, and officers from both the active and reserve force, while offering support for the collective training of commanders and Army units, as well as the development of doctrines.
Besides the Krivolak army field, the TDC has several training centers, including several centers for individual training, training of cadets, foreign languages, dog training centers, centers for the development of doctrines and the Simulations Center. ad/nn/
