CMC: Three wildfires still active in the country
Skopje, 11 August 2021 (MIA) - According to the latest report of the Crisis Management Center until 4 pm, three wildfires are still raging in North Macedonia, while three wildfires are localized and one is brought under control, Marija Milkova, assistant manager of the Crisis Management Center (CMC) Operations and Coordination Sector said on Wednesday afternoon. The forest fire near ​the villages of Raovikj and Bukovikj in Skopje’s Saraj has reached the Jasen nature reserve, the fire at Divlje and Krushje villages is also burning, one fire in Prilep region, two fires are active in Veles region and one is burning in city landfill in Vinica. The helicopter made several flights over the area of Saraj near the villages Raovikj and Bukovikj aimed at putting out the fire, which is still active. Army members, firemen, employees of Jasen Forest Services and Jasen nature reserve are on the ground fighting the blaze. The fire at Divlje and Krushje villages in Petrovec municipality is also burning. Employees of Karadjica Forest Services, firemen with two firefighting vehicles are on site battling the fire. Low intensity fire near Toplica village coming from the Rakle village to Krstec village, in Prilep region, is still active. Employees of Crn Bor Forest Services from Prilep are putting out the fire. Two fires are burning in Veles, near Staro Gradsko and three firemen and firefighting vehicles are on site battling the fire. A fire broke out at the city landfill in Vinica, but it is brought under control. Six firefighters with tanks and two employees of public enterprise "Solidarity" from Vinica are putting out the fire. There are two active fires on the territory of Makedonski Brod municipality whereat team of Makedonski Brod Forest Services and firemen are on the site fighting the blaze. The fire that started at Bejaz Tepe area in Pehchevo and then moved to the area of the village of Budinarci in Berovo is localized. Ravna Reka Forest Services crews are there, as well as police and Army members, firemen from Berovo, a team of Protection and Rescue Department and firemen from Austria and Bulgaria. At around 3:50 pm, a fire broke out at Ladno Dolce area, on the road to the village of Stragovo in Kavadarci, where dry grass was burning. By 4 pm the fire was localized by firemen and employees of public enterprise National Forests.
