CMC: Six wildfires active, one under control
Skopje, 18 August 2026 (MIA) - In the past 24 hours, a total of 29 wildfires have been registered in the country, including six that are active, one is under control, and 22 have been extinguished, the Crisis Management Center said.
Active fires are registered in the Municipality of Studenicani near the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber, in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod near the Vidush locality and the villages of Dragov Dol, Lokvica and Devic, in the municipalities of Veles and Zelenikovo near the villages of S'lp, Gorno Selo, Karabunishte, Buzalkovo, Dobrino and Tisovica, in the municipalities of Jegunovce and Saraj near the villages of Kopance, Tudence and Bojane, in the municipality of Prilep near the village of Canishte and in the municipality of Dolneni near the villages of Vrance and Belo Pole.
The fire at the landfill in Delchevo is under control.
