Skopje, 12 August 2021 (MIA) – French experts on high-risk fires and Crisis Management Centre (CMC) Director Stojanche Angelov, accompanied by police, toured Thursday the Jasen natural reserve after reports of smoke and possible wildfire hotspots. No hotspots were found although we had a report of a smoke coming out around the peaks over Jasen. Nevertheless, field control is ongoing by Macedonian police forces and the French experts on high-risk fires, said the CMC. The Centre will hold a press conference on the situation with the wildfires in the country later in the day.
