Skopje, 6 September 2024 (MIA) - A total of 34 wildfires were registered in the country on Thursday, six of them are still active, one is contained, and the rest have been extinguished, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said Friday.

Pine forest, brush and grasses are burning in the Municipality of Prilep, near the villages of Krushevica, Chumovo and Selce, CMC notes. 

The forest fire around the village of Oraov Dol in the Municipality of Chashka is also active.  

A brush fire is burning in the Municipality of Petrovec, near the villages of Breznica, Gradmanci and Katlanovo.

Scrub and grasses are burning in the Municipality of Shtip, near the villages of Hadzhi Hamzali, Edeklerci, and Toplik, and the Krivolak military training ground.

Another forest fire is burning in the municipality of Chucher-Sandevo, at Ramno near ​​the village of Tanushevci.

Trees and grass are burning in the Municipalityof Dolneni, near the village of Desovo.

CMC notes that the fire at the city landfill in the municipality of Krushevo has been contained.
