Skopje, 16 August 2023 (MIA) — Of the 19 wildfires reported on the territory of the country on Tuesday, 18 were put out and one was localized, the Crisis Management Center said in a press release Wednesday.

Firefighters put out four fires in the Kumanovo villages of Romanovce, Slupchani, Pchinja and Ljubodrag, and two in the villages of Debreshte and Koshino near Dolneni.

Wildfires were also extinguished in the village of Radusha in the Municipality of Saraj, on Skupi Street in the Municipality of Karposh, in the Gazi Baba forest park in the Municipality of Gazi Baba, in the village of Trap in the Municipality of Bitola, in the village of Mogila in the Municipality of Mogila, in the village of Dolna Bela Crkva in the Municipality of Resen, in the village of Oraovica in the Municipality of Radovish, at Ovchka Reka in the Municipality of Kavadarci, in the village of Rosoman in the Municipality of Rosoman, in the village of Zhelino in the Municipality of Zhelino, in the village of Krlanski Most in the Municipality of Vinica, and in the village of Berikovo in the Municipality of Kichevo.

The brushfire between the villages of Sokolarci and Zhiganci in the Municipality of Cheshinovo Obleshevo has been put under control by firefighting aircraft sent by the Protection and Rescue Directorate and Interior Ministry police helicopters on Tuesday evening, the CMC said. mr/
