Skopje, 20 July 2024 (MIA) — Twelve wildfires are burning across the country, according to the Crisis Management Center in its latest report.

The brushfires between the villages of Dragoevo and Selce and the villages of Puhche and Piperovo in the municipality of Shtip are still active.

The fire at the Krivolak army training ground moving toward the Shtip and Negotino has been brought under control.

The fire near the village of Badilen in the municipality of Novo Selo has also been localized.

Fires are burning between the villages of Gabrovnik and Mokreni and between Jabolcishta and Drenovo in the municipality of Chashka; between the villages of Sirkovo and Mrzen Oraovec in Rosoman; near the village of Farish in the municipality of Kavadarci; near the village of Nebregovo in the municipality of Dolneni; near Pashin Most in the municipality of Veles; and between the villages of Podlec and Chichevo in Gradsko. 

The Delchevo municipal landfill is also on fire.

According to the CMC report, firefighting efforts to extinguish the most critical fires are being made both on the ground and from the air. mr/
