Skopje, 12 August 2024 (MIA) - A total of 45 wildfires were reported in the country on Sunday. Ten of them are still active, three have been placed under control, while 32 have been extinguished, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said.

Three active wildfires are raging on the territory of the Municipality of Kichevo, near the villages of Pateec, Chelopeci, Bigod Dolenci and Zajaz. There are two active wildfires in Makedonski Brod, one near Jasen, and the other near the villages of Greshnica and Slatina. Active wildfires have also been registered in Pehchevo, Novaci, Plasnica, Negotino and Resen.

According to the CMC, the fire on Ilinska Mountain and Plakjenska Mountain, and the fires in Chashka and Delchevo have been placed under control.
