Christmas Eve processions take place across the country

Skopje, 6 January 2023 (MIA) – Thousands of children on Friday, from 10 am to 12 am, in 62 cities and towns across the country, will be part of Christmas Eve processions after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Singing “Eternal Lord“, they will announce the Birth of Jesus Christ.

The capital Skopje hosts the largest Christmas Eve event starting at 11 am, which will include a holiday concert in Makedonija square with performances by pop singers Antonia Gigovska, Lambe Alabakovski, the Zlatno Slavejche children’s choir, Vera Miloshevska, Dimitar Andonovski, Next Time’s Stefan and Nokaut’s Pere.

Child stars Marija Janchevska and Jovan Dukmedziev will be the show’s hosts.

After the concert, the Christmas Eve procession will head to the St. Clement of Ohrid Church, where they will be greeted and gifted by Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia, Stefan.

Christmas Eve processions will also be held in Ohrid, Struga, Kichevo, Prilep, Krushevo, Shtip, Strumica, Veles, Kavadarci, Negotino, Gevgelija, Bitola, Resen, Tetovo, Gostivar, Debar, Kumanovo, Kriva Palanka, Makedonski Brod, Vinica, Kochani, Sveti Nikole, Radovish, Delchevo, Probishtip, Makedonska Kamenica, Valandovo, Berovo, Demir Kapija, Velgoshti, Debarca, Vranishta, Rostushe, Jankovec, Mogila, Draslajca, Brvenica, Vratnica, Bansko, Novo Selo, Zubovo, Sushica, Novo Konjarevo, Udovo, Josifovo, Pirava, Grchishte, Marvinci, Balinci, Brajkovci, Gazi Baba, Kisela Voda, Aerodrom, Centar, Gjorche Petrov, Chair, Butel, Ilinden, Petrovec, Chucher Sandevo, Bardovci, etc. ba/nn/
