Caretaker PM Xhaferi pays working visit to Brussels

Brussels, 13 February 2024 (MIA) – The caretaker Prime Minister Talat Xhaferi, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, will arrive on Tuesday afternoon in Brussels on a working visit.
Later in the afternoon, Xhaferi, joined by the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bojan Marichikj, and FM Osmani, will visit the NATO headquarters in Brussels, where they will hold a meeting with the NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană.
On Wednesday, the government delegation, led by Xhaferi, is to hold meetings with key EU figures, including European Council President, Charles Michel, and President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Additionally, they will meet with members of the European Parliament from various political groups.
The goal of this first visit by Xhaferi abroad in his capacity as the Prime Minister in the caretaker Government, is to convey a message to the EU institutions that North Macedonia remains committed to the European path and continues to work on fulfilling all obligations related to EU accession requirements.
