Skopje, 14 March 2024 (MIA) — Caretaker Parliament Speaker Jovan Mitreski met Thursday with Skopje's Strasho Pindzhur Elementary second graders and answered questions including, "What do Members of Parliament do? What do they do for children? How much do you need to study to become Parliament Speaker?", according to an official press release. 

The visiting schoolchildren toured Parliament and learned about the duties of the Parliament Speaker and MPs.

They also got to know more about Parliament through a newly published coloring book that explains in plain language what lawmakers do and describes the procedure for proposing and passing laws.

The publication was produced as part of the Parliamentary Support Program, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented by the National Democratic Institute, the Institute for Democracy Societas Civilis Skopje and the Center for Change Management. mr/
